Buy

You can search for things to buy on Frimp.

Don't forget about the quicksearch bar at the top of every page, and you can also use the following shortcuts:

• See all of the latest items posted on Frimp
• See the latest items in your area - just type your zipcode into the quicksearch bar up top.

Sell

You can sell things on Frimp.

• Even people who don't know about Frimp will find your items
  • We upload all items from Frimp onto Froogle each night.
  • Our apologies - Froogle upload is currently disabled due to changes in Google's requirements for product uploads. We hope to make changes to comply with the new requirements soon.
• See how many people are watching your area for new items
  • If you just type your zipcode into the quicksearch bar, the search results will also tell how many people are watching for new items in your area.
• Tell people how to buy from you via phone or physical store
  • Edit your account and select "Buy action: Show info page", then fill out the big "Buy info" box with your contact information.
• Put standard information on all of your items
  • Edit your account and fill out the big "Item notes" box.  This information will appear at the bottom of the details page each of your items.  This is especially useful for your shipping policies.

Edit your items

Search for the item, click "Edit" under the "Details" column.  If you can find the item but "Edit" doesn't appear, make sure you're logged in.  You can also find items in your online store.

• Add pictures to your items
  • Edit the item (see above) and then "Browse" for the image on your hard drive, then click "Upload" and finally "Save Item Changes".
• Delete an item
  • Edit the item (see above) and then click "Delete Item".

Print a flier

• You can print a flier for your items that you can post at your local school, church, or wherever.

See your personal online store

• Every user has an online store of their items at http://frimp.net/user/<username>.  (Logged in users will see their actual store URL here).

Create a want ad

• You can create a want ad.  On Frimp, your want ads work for you actively - you'll get an email each day if any new items match your want ads!

Watch for new items in your area

Just type your zipcode into the quicksearch bar.  If you're not already watching the area, the search results will also provide a link ("Email me when items are posted in this area!") that will set up daily emails with all the new items in your area.

View and edit your account settings

You can edit everything about your account except your username.

• Change your password
• Reset in case of lost password

Set up a group for your friends

Edit your account and change your group to the new group.

Calculate distance between zipcodes

See the city name for a zipcode

See the map of a zipcode region

Use the Frimp tools page to calculate distances and see information about a zipcode.
